The Bronze Canopy
Hampstead Garden Suburb, London
Sculptural stone and bronze against a garden backdrop

Design story
The entrance sets the tone with a sweeping stair and closely spaced bronze balusters. A sculptural stone console sits beneath the curve, while a dark border gives the pale floor a clear geometry. Daylight from the glazing softens the contrast between these substantial materials.
In the kitchen, a deeply veined island stands against quieter timber cabinetry. The dining room develops that balance at a larger scale: a long dark table, upholstered chairs and a slender pendant face generous garden glazing. The green outlook remains a prominent part of both rooms.
The bedroom brings the palette into a softer register with a broad upholstered headboard and rounded bench. In the bathroom, richly veined stone returns around the shower and vanity, balanced by a pale freestanding bath. The rooms share a material vocabulary while giving each daily ritual its own setting.
