Accanto’s Kensington design brings a contemporary sense of comfort to an interior defined by grand proportions and intricate architectural detail. Decorative cornicing, panelled walls and tall sash windows provide the setting for curved furniture, rich timber joinery and a consistent palette of ivory, warm taupe, chocolate brown and softly brushed metallic tones.

White marble with expressive honey and gold veining forms the visual thread throughout the scheme. Appearing across the staircase, fireplaces, tables, kitchen and bathroom, it connects the rooms while introducing movement and character. Its polished surfaces sit alongside textured upholstery, timber grain and generous rugs, giving the interior depth and warmth.

The entrance hall sets the tone. A sweeping marble staircase rises above a floor outlined with contrasting stone borders. Slender metal balusters and a dark handrail emphasise its curve, while suspended leaf-shaped lights introduce an organic sculptural element. A substantial timber console, abstract artwork and a tall floral arrangement complete the arrival space without competing with the architecture.

In the drawing room, two curved ivory sofas create a welcoming arrangement around an oval marble coffee table. The marble fireplace sits between illuminated timber shelves, establishing a balanced focal point. Above, a branching pendant with softly glowing shades echoes the rounded furniture. Full-height curtains frame the windows, allowing the decorative ceiling and garden outlook to remain prominent.

The dining room carries this sense of occasion into a space designed around gathering. A long timber table, upholstered chairs and a branching glass chandelier form the central composition. Along one wall, a marble-topped sideboard provides storage for crockery, glassware and serving pieces. The marble backdrop and carefully positioned wall lights make this practical element part of the room’s architecture.

The kitchen combines substantial storage with a sociable central island. Deep brown cabinetry frames a richly veined splashback, while the island pairs a rounded marble top with vertical timber detailing. Upholstered stools provide comfortable seating beneath slender metallic pendants. Beside the tall windows, a circular breakfast table offers a more intimate place for everyday meals.

A separate sitting room and study extend the home’s quieter spaces. Comfortable sofas, bookshelves and a marble fireplace give the sitting room a relaxed character. In the study, a broad timber desk with metallic trim sits against illuminated shelving, with artwork and an upholstered chair bringing warmth to the working environment.

The bedroom introduces a softer rhythm through a vertically upholstered headboard, layered bedding and full-length curtains. Rounded bedside cabinets repeat the timber and marble combination, while dome-shaped lamps provide gentle light. The dressing room continues this attention to everyday use, with illuminated wardrobes, organised drawers, tall mirrors and a generous central ottoman.

In the bathroom, golden-veined marble surrounds a freestanding bath, glazed shower and double vanity. Timber drawers ground the pale surfaces, while warm metallic fittings and wall lights maintain continuity with the rest of the residence.

Throughout the Kensington scheme, classical symmetry provides structure and contemporary furniture brings ease. The character comes from the relationship between the details: the curve of a sofa, the grain of a cabinet, the movement of marble and the warmth of carefully placed light.
