Expressive stone within a calm architectural frame

Design story

Stone provides the strongest visual thread in this South Kensington concept. In the drawing room, a boldly veined coffee table sits beside a richly patterned fireplace surround. Pale upholstery and full-height curtains give these surfaces space to read, while leather armchairs introduce a warmer, softer contrast.

The furniture sits comfortably within the panelled room: a low sectional opens the view towards the tall windows, and a slender branching pendant keeps the ceiling composition light. Dark timber pieces and abstract artwork repeat the deeper tones found in the stone.

In the kitchen, muted olive cabinetry frames a substantial island with a waterfall stone edge. Upholstered stools make the island a place to pause as well as prepare food. A long linear pendant follows its proportions, while the open doorway maintains a visual connection with the dining space beyond.
