THE CLIENT BRIEF
We believe the success of any project comes from fully defining the client’s requirements. We build an understanding of the client’s intent to use the rooms/property, styles they like, lifestyle and aspirations. This information is used along with a site visit for measurements (or floor plans if a new build), photographs, time scales, budget, and any structural or other requirements such as furniture. We offer a fully bespoke furniture design and fitting service. Following this briefing stage we send a proposal to the client outlining the brief as we understand it, with an estimated budget and associated design fee.
CONSEPTUALIZATION
Once the requirements have been defined and proposal approved we will develop and present concept designs consisting of the client’s floor plans, the layout of proposed furniture and any structural changes that were mentioned in the initial brief. We use mood boards and our wealth of knowledge from a vast supplier landscape to help share conceptual ideas. A mood board uses a selection of images, materials and samples of proposed finishes to share a concept in an engaging way. This stage is highly collaborative and we encourage regular feedback from our clients to make sure the concepts are driving towards their vision.
DETAIL DESIGN
Once the client has selected and approved the preferred concept the detail design stage can commence. All final drawings will be presented, along with final colours, furniture, art and accessories for clients to approve. At this stage we present the client with a fully itemised breakdown of items by room. We work with suppliers to secure the best deals on your behalf.
FITTING AND COMPLETION
Once the detailed designs have been approved the schedule of works will be agreed and once all onsite requirements have been met work can commence. We recognise that this is the most important stage and have our own experienced builder and decorator team who can take the detailed designs and make them a reality. (We also understand that you may have your own builders or decorators that you are already happy with). Our project managers will attend site on a regular basis to drive progress and ensure that designs are being carried out to the specification including the placement of fixtures and accessories. We keep clients informed of progress and once the work is complete we have a final consultation between the designer and client to obtain feedback on the newly completed space.
